Prof. Dr. Sita Bierma-Zeinstra

Professor Sita Bierma‑Zeinstra, PhD, is Professor of Osteoarthritis and Related Disorders at Erasmus MC, Rotterdam. She leads research within the Department of General Practice and also holds appointments in the Departments of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at Erasmus MC and at TU Delft, strengthening interdisciplinary research at the interface of clinical care, biomechanics, and technology. Her clinical research focuses on early diagnosis, prevention, and personalized treatment strategies in osteoarthritis. She has published over 600 peer‑reviewed articles and plays a leading role in international osteoarthritis guidelines and major research initiatives.
