He currently serves as Deputy Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Doping Authority and as Programme Manager of the Value-Free Information Provision Programme. In this role, he focuses on scientifically substantiated information about performance-enhancing substances, with a particular emphasis on harm reduction. For his scientific work, he has received several distinctions, including the Japan International Science & Technology Exchange Centre Fellowship and the Sports Medicine Award, which he received together with Goof Schep for their research on exercise programmes for cancer patients.
