Before joining Sports Valley, she successfully completed her PhD at Wageningen University & Research, where her research focused on the physiological changes that occur in athletes as a result of training stress. Outside of her professional work, Rieneke can often be found in and around the swimming pool, cycling on her road bike, or out for a run. Sport is her passion. Previously, she competed as a professional swimmer, representing her country at European Championships, World Championships, and World Cup events. Today, she enjoys participating in triathlons and other sporting events, primarily for the love of sport and competition.
