Dr. Wouter Schallig

Wouter Schallig is a Human Movement Scientist with a PhD from the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Amsterdam UMC, where he investigated foot biomechanics during gait. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Erasmus MC and is involved in the LoaD project, focusing on the assessment of knee joint loading during walking, running, and cycling in individuals with osteoarthritis. His research combines biomechanics and medical imaging to better understand joint function and to develop strategies for maintaining and improving joint health.
