Prof. Dr. Daniël Saris
Daniel Saris, MD, PhD, is a Consultant/Surgeon in the Department of Orthopedics and Chair of Sports Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr Saris is Professor of Orthopedics and the first Professor of Regenerative Medicine at Mayo Clinic. Daniel received his PhD degree focused on Joint preservation at the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands. Professor Saris was President of the International Cartilage Repair Society, Board member of the Arthroscopy Society, and Chairman of the ACL consensus group. Dr. Saris’ specific expertise is knee surgery with international expertise in surgical regenerative medicine and cartilage repair with cell technology. His research efforts focus on optimizing the regenerative biological capacity of the musculoskeletal system, improving treatment and understanding of knee afflictions.
